Fay’s three hour street food tour was great. She asked us what we would like to eat, and where in the city we wanted to go, We were able to try everything we wanted. And the food was excellent. Fay made the tour special by knowing fine details about what we were eating, and telling us about the history of the city. Two things really stood out: her rapport with the restaurateurs, who appeared to really like her; and her genuine love for the city of Osaka. I cannot recommend her enough.

On a positive note, Fay is an enthusiastic and friendly guide who can explain the Shinto and Buddhist beliefs and traditions associated with the Nara religious sites. Despite our pretour communications with Fay clearly laying out our desires for an early morning tour beginning at the very popular, crowded Todai-ji Temple and minimizing unnecessary walking in Nara Park with the deer, she began the 3 hour tour with an exhausting 2 hour + walk through the park and a less important shrine. We had barely 20 minutes in a very crowded Great Budda Hall and had to rush back to our hotel for a tour that we were already late for. We felt that our most important experience in the Great Buddha Hall had to be too brief given our guide's poor planning.
